In the Reggio philosophy, the materials we choose reflect how we think about children. We like to choose materials that are real, natural, and aesthetically pleasing. We like to choose materials that inspire children to want to play; and just like the use of real tools, we like to choose materials that have real qualities. We are always looking for new, interesting loose parts to add to our children’s (and student’s) play. We stumbled upon this amazing company, Mini Materials. It’s full of fun, affordable, real miniature items that make play time all the more interesting. We are lucky enough to be able to review one of their products for you…..the real cinder blocks with pallet. When they arrived, our children started playing immediately…..and they’ve been a hit for the last several days.
They are the perfect size to use with Citiblocs, Bruder trucks, and Playmobil vehicles.
Building the foundation of a house. So cute!

We love these loose parts, and might just have to purchase more! For more info, visit the WEB SITE or FACEBOOK PAGE.
