Art has always been a huge part of our lives. An art space was the first thing that went into our playroom and it continues to be the number one activity of choice.
A big chunk of our playroom is dedicated to art. A few years back I started setting out Art Trays (as seen above). It’s somewhat of a more permanent invitation based off my children’s interests. I will hopefully have a post up soon of the different art trays that we have explored over the past year or so. Here are a few that we have had out recently:
Art Tray on the left: Stamping
Art Tray on the right: Oil and chalk pastels
Art Try on the left: Oven Bake Clay
Art Tray on the right: Sharpie Markers and Photo Paper
CD Creation Art Tray
Puffy Paint
Glitter
Acrylic Paint
Q-tips
CDs
My girls love to paint and I wanted to give them a different medium to explore. This isn’t technically a new post but when I went back to re-post our CD Painting from 2011 it was pretty pathetic! It was from our old blog and none of the pictures were showing up. Not to mention the broken links. :-/ So here is the new and revised version!
I just placed a dab of paint on a piece of white paper for my 4 year old to paint with. We used Q-tips for easy clean-up.
Hard at work.
Finished!
Yes, Mommy had fun with this one, too.
Adding some glitter
I love the texture the puffy paint created! Proud girl.
Finished.
I will update the post with how we displayed them after they dry.
