We were in Michaels the other day and my 5 year old needed to use the restroom. All the styrofoam pieces are on the wall as soon as you walk out of the restroom door. While my 3 year old was washing her hands…. for the 100th time that day….my 5 year old was checking out the styrofoam. She came across these styrofoam heads.
5 year old – Mommy, look… it’s a head!!!! Can we get it?
Me- Um…. it’s kinda creepy. What are you going to do with it?
5 year old – I can put make-up on it and give it some hair
And so we introduce you to….
Styrofoam head girl
These were $4.99 at Michaels and we used a 40% off one item coupon.
My 5 year old bought one for my oldest as well because she knew she would love it… and she did. Here she is planning out her plan of attack.
Adding hair using brown yarn and a hot glue gun.
My oldest used permanent markers. My 5 year old used paints.
Eyelashes, rosy cheeks, and red lips.
My oldest didn’t like the way her lashes turned out (perfectionist) so she used white paint to “erase” them. It worked well enough.
They still are not done yet. I will post the completed pictures when they finish.
They still kinda creep me out but my girls are having a lot of fun with them. I just hope this is one that is not gifted to me and put in my bedroom. :-P
