A few years back I was showing my girls pictures of a Color Run a few of my friends participated in. Their eyes lit up! ”I want to do that!!!” We decided to create our own version in the backyard using tempera paint. I set up some bottles around the backyard that they could squeeze onto themselves and each other.
We have enjoyed this every year since.
This year I decided to look into using the “real stuff”. Amazon to the rescue.
To make it easy for the kids I poured the powder into condiment bottles. These can be found in the Kitchen section of Walmart.
I mixed my Holi with a little bit of corn starch. I poured the packet of holi in… and then filled the bottles about 3/4 full. You probably can even add more and not jeopardize the coloring.
The pictures speak for themselves…
