Haunted Houses

At a recent trip to Michaels my girls were checking out the flimsy foam haunted house kits.  ”Mommy, can we make a haunted house?”

AK’s Keepsake “Gingerbread” House post immediately came to mind.

The Invitation

Everything you see here is from Michaels.  We had a 20% off everything coupon and all the Halloween stuff was 40% off.  Bonus!  However, I am sure there are a ton of options at Dollar Tree as well.  The bird houses are priced at $4.99 a piece.  We also purchased paint (black, purple, orange, and green), pumpkin, ghost, bat, spider, and eyeball stickers as well as candy corn.

My 2 year old hard at work.  She loved painting on something other than paper!

Her finished house!  I was worried the stickers weren’t going to stay on but they are holding up great.  The candy corn we attached using a glue gun.  I did help my youngest with this part.  She told me where she wanted them and I squirted the glue.
