Sticky Letters

My girls love playing with the white board.  I’m always trying to come up with fun ways to use it it.  Since my middle child (age 4) is letter obsessed right now I decided to create a fun invitation for her.  We did this on the white board, however, it does not have to be done this way.

I started off by writing a few letters on the white board.  I covered the letters with clear contact paper… sticky side out.  I taped them on with scotch tape.  I gave her a ball of yard and some scissors.

She then “traces” the letters with the yarn.

Y complete!

She is not typically a perfectionist.  I was surprised and how particular she was!  Cutting of the excess yarn.

“Do you think this will be long enough for the lowercase c?   I think it will be just right.”

And that it was!  Nice perception!!

The curved letters were a little tricky.

Fine motor skills.
