Apparently March is coming in like a lion a bit early this year. It’s February and we are having thunderstorms – weird. Sometimes a nice hard rain can be a gift, like the day mother nature gave us a RIVER.
After the storm today, my son wanted to go outside and do some Fart Bombs. The bags inflate and pop, leaving a horrible odor…..apparently that’s incredibly fun when you are five (or 41 ). Well, one of the bags failed to pop and instead got caught in the current of the water running down the street…..which led us to balloon boats. I simply blew up some balloons and sent them down “river”. It was an hour of fun for my son and I to connect through play. We also talked about currents and why the smaller balloons moved faster than the larger ones.
track colors – “you caught the RED balloon”
counting – “you caught 4 balloons” (or count them as they are caught)
dialogue about sink versus float
EVEN LIGHT LEAF HAD FUN
(Sorry about the crappy cell phone pictures.)
